sipgate normally uses one preferred codec so that additional functions such as call waiting, call forwarding, conference calls and recording calls can be used.

The compatibility mode must be activated in case problems with devices occur or if you would like to use additional functions (e.g. video conferencing).

Please Note: Enabling compatibility mode will stop the extra features listed above from being usable.
