VoIP-Provider sipgate is offering GSM/Wifi Mobile Phone for only £59

Düsseldorf, 04/08/2008 - The VoIP-Provider sipgate is currently making mobile VoIP affordable for everyone - via Dual Mode Mobile Phone (GSM/Wifi) and is offering the 'Pirelli DP-L10' for a sensational £59*. Because of its free SIM-lock, the Pirelli can be used by any cellular customer. On one hand, the 'Pirelli DP L10' is a GSM-Triband mobile phone, on the other hand it is a VoIP telephone which permits a mobile Internet telephony via WLAN. Therefore, up to five WLAN-Hotspots can be securely set up. Users can decide at the push of a button whether or not to converse via cellular or the less expensive VoIP. Incoming calls are automatically signalized by both networks. If no WLAN hot spot is available, calls to the local number of the VoIP account can be fowarded to the mobile telephone number. To easily set up the configuration of the VoIP and WLAN parameter, sipgate provides a customized quick-start guide.

Among other things the 'Pirelli DP L10' has a colour display (65K colours), a VGA camera and a phone book for 500 entries. Additional features include SMS, MMS, WAP 2.0 und EMail that even synchronizes contacts with Outlook. Securing the WLAN connection is through WEP, WPA or WPA2. The battery allows for a talk time up to four hours and a stand-by time of up to 180 hours. Moreover, the Pirelli is really lightweight at only 98 grams and just as handy as a normal mobile telephone measuring 10,5 x 4 x 1,4 cm.
